As the Western genre continues its Renaissance thanks Yellow -brown And his spin-off-off, supported by Taylor Sheridan, one of the classics of a literary genre is put into development.
Teton Ridge gained the right to adapt Larry McMurtry Lonely dove and the next book in Pulitzer’s prize series. The deal made with McMurty’s estate covers the movie, TV and all the rights other than the publication, which remain with Simon and Schuster. It is unclear whether a new adaptation will be a movie or television.
McMurty’s Epic follows retired Texas X -rays who go to cattle from Texas to Montana, and during that time they come across many dangers. Laredo streets, walking the dead man and Comanche Moon follow Lonely doveand they were also adapted to TV, with Comanche Moon Broadcasting 2008.
Thomas Tull and Jillian divide from Teton Ridge Entertainment will produce Lonely dove Adaptation, together with Jon Jashni, McMurtry’s grandson Curtis McMurtry and McMurtry’s writing by partner Diana Ossan.
Lonely dove He was previously adapted to critically recognized miniseries in 1989 and played by Tommy Lee Jones, Chris Cooper, Diane Lane and Danny Glover. He earned several awards, including a few wins of Emmys and Golden Globes.
Teton Ridge Entertainment is a movie and TV banner under Teton Ridge, a company directed to the west, whose share of Cowboy Chanel and American Rodeo. Recently Teton Ridge picked up rights to the novel Louis L’Amour Fallon with Crazy rich Asians Writer Peter Chiarelli set up for the development of the script.
