The urgency encourages Old manA mediocre new action comedy (a genre that really needs to be done well) in which the double winner of Oscar plays Danny Dolinski, the older hitman passing, you hit, the crisis of middle life. Danny suffers from arthritis and recently had a joint fusion surgery, making him a particularly painful shot of a gun. And his boss (Ann Akinjirin) informs him that, after 30 years of service, his days are numbered in the workplace and he has to train a much younger protégé.

“Let’s go younger throughout the board,” he informs him, sounding like Elon Musk, who addresses newly fired employees of the Government agency.

For some reason, filmmakers have long considered to be an engaged killer like us, worried about things like older and job safety. But even when the actor plays as charming and charismatic as Waltz, it is difficult to elaborate on the killers’ problems – even if, as in this case, she is soothing about the girl just before killing her grandfather.

Of course, the Greg Johnson scenario is less set for feelings than humor, which would be fine if he possessed wit, say,, Great empty point. There is a smartness here in an uneven small supply, unless younger hitman sarcastically addressing Danny as “Obi-Wan” to be funny.

The trainee, processed only as Wihlborg, is described as “Hitman Prodigy”, even if he has an unfortunate habit of accidentally killing innocent passers -by. Danny mockingly marked “Gen Z”, he shows various eccentricities, including colored nails and a necklace with a miniature racing car. He was played by Cooper Hoffman, whose child seems even younger than the age of 21. Son of Philip Seymoura Hoffman, has already shown his growing talent in the movie Sladića pizza. But it seems terribly wrong here. Bowling prodigy, of course. Absolutely mathematical penetration. But hitman prodigy? Not at all.

The relationship between the two men is naturally proven to be combat, with Danny not liked to give up his status and Wihlborg eagerly refusing his coach to acknowledge his restrictions. Danny is a kind of hard strange hedonist who is claimed, who wakes up with multiple demolished women in his bed, while Wihlborg calls his body as a temple and contempt alcohol and carbohydrates. The movie tries to get a lot of humor from its conflict in culture, with little success.

This is even less impressive in the action department, despite being directed by Simon West, who in this regard showed his talent with such a larger budget films as Air and Lara Croft: TB Raider. Has a lot of awful violence in Old man But a little actual excitement and serious problems with Paysing. It is also difficult to turn emotionally when Danny and Wihlborg prevailed their animation and joined after their employer betrayed them.

Lucy Liu is also available as Anata, Danny’s old friend, although what is the purpose of her character in the story is hard to discern. It seems to be denoted by Danny for no good reason, even if he manages to get him out of a dangerous situation at one point. But a long -lasting scene involving anatine romantic troubles feels awkwardly covered, and Liu feels an external procedure despite his impressive skills.

Old man benefits from its extensive use of the North Ireland stage locations. But while Danny, with an emphasis on Austrian work, goes to visit her older mother, who is talking to Irish Broving, it has long become clear that credibility was not the main concern.
