Diane Delano — known for her roles on “Northern Exposure” and “The Wicker Man” — has died, TMZ has learned.
Diane’s rep tells us the actress passed away Friday at her home in Los Angeles after a brief illness. The official cause of death has not been released.
Diane was best known for her role as Saint Barbara Semanski in the CBS TV series “Northern Exposure” in the 1990s, and as Sister Beech in the 2006 film “The Wicker Man,” starring Nicholas Cage.
Her other TV appearances included “Popular,” “Days of Our Lives,” “St. Elsewhere,” “LA Law” and “Perfect Strangers.”
In addition to “The Wicker Man”, she achieved film roles in “The Ladykillers” in 2004, in which she starred Tom Hanksand “Paradise: A Town of Sinners and Saints,” which hits theaters in 2024.
