Mikey Madison scored another victory for Anora.
On Saturday, the 25-year-old actress won the award for best leading performance, film, at the Independent Spirit Awards. As she addressed the crowd, she thanked the whole cast and director Sean Baker.
“I want to thank Sean Baker. It all started with you. You are an amazing director, a wonderful friend, an amazing Chihuahua owner, “she said” I’m so grateful that you got into my life. ”
Madison was against Amy Adams (Night shot), Ryan fate (Fire inside), Colman Domingo (Sing), Keith Copper (Ghost light), Demi Moore (Substance), Hunter Schafer (Coward), Justice Smith (I saw a TV shine), June Squibb (Thelma) and sebastian apartment (Trainee), who she said was “honored to be nominated.” Last week, Madison won Bafta for Best Leading Actress.
Madison also addressed Baker’s wife and producer on Samantha Quan’s movie because she was “the most amazing, beautiful person in the world.”
Baker was loud in writing the role of anor (or ani) – a sex worker who falls for the son of Russian oligarch – for Madison after seeing her performances in Quentin Tarans Once upon a time in Hollywood and Matt Bettenli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett’s Scream.
Aor He won the Big at the Spirit Awards, winning the best role and Best Director for Baker, who gave a cordial speech that advocated an indie film job. Madison was nominated for Best Actress at Oscar on March 2.
