Mason Gooding is confirmed as the first member to return from Scream four core franchises.
Gooding is set to reprise his role as Chad Meeks-Martin in Scream 7 for Spyglass Entertainment and Paramount Pictures. The new film in the slasher series is scheduled to hit theaters on February 27, 2026.
The actor joins such confirmed Scream 7 cast members such as Neve Campbell, Isabel May and Celeste O’Connor. Kevin Williamson, who wrote the original Scream which arrived in cinemas in 1996, leads a new project.
Scream’the so-called Core Four refers to the four new cast members who joined the franchise for the revitalizing title Scream 2022, followed by last year’s Scream VI. Of the other three members, Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega are not returning, while there is no confirmation yet about the return of Jasmin Savoy Brown.
Diversity was the first to report Gooding’s return Scream 7.
