Next movie Spielberg Spielberg shifting the release date to avoid avengers

The next movie Steven Spielberg moves the release date from May 15, 2026 to June 12, 2026, to provide more distance from Disney Behemoths Avengers: Doomsday (1 May 2026) and IN Mandalor and grog (May 22, 2026), Universal and Amblin Entertainment announced on Tuesday.

The movie without a title takes the date that previously belonged to the filmmakers Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), a duo behind the Oscar who won an indie sensation All everywhere all at once. Universal said the project is moving forward as planned and that a new release date will be announced soon.

The Daniels feature is the first to result from the long-term Pakin Inkin Universal in the summer of 2022, months before they won for the best picture, the best director and the best original scenario on the Oscars, which makes them the most handsome duet into a film job. Several details are known, although the studio describes it as a “movie without a title”, which suggests a large scope of the project.

Likewise, Spielberg holds details of the plot about his next movie under a tight wrap. The movie without a title is described as an original film of events created and managed by the iconic director.

So far, tall actors include Josh O’Connor, Emily Blunt, Colman Domingo, Colin Firth and Eve Hewson. Kristie Macosko Krieger will produce for Amblin Entertainment. Based on Spielberg’s story, the screenplay was written by longtime associate David Koepp, whose previous work with Spielberg includes scripts for Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones and Kingdom of crystal skull.

More to come.
