Whitney Cummings says support for Luigi Mangione makes a lot of sense… because Americans love a good killer.

We caught up with Whitney in New York and our photographer asked her if it’s too early to make jokes about the assassination of the CEO of UnitedHealthcare Brian Thompsonin which Luigi is accused of pulling the trigger.

Whitney says it’s never too early to joke about anything, especially killers in America… because our country makes celebrities out of killers.

While Donald Trump attacks people who support Luigi, saying the widespread admiration for Mangione is a terrible thing, Whitney says it makes sense given the events of the past year.

Luigi has maintained his innocence, but many people think he killed Thompson and even sided with him, unlike the health care CEOs… and Whitney says that’s how it is in America.
