The student and teacher killed in a horrific school shooting in Wisconsin earlier this week have been identified.
According to the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office… a 14-year-old student Ruby Patricia Vergara and a 42-year-old teacher Erin West died Monday in a shooting at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison.
The pathologist says Erin and Rubi “died as a result of homicidal gunshot trauma.” The Ministry of Medicine says their deaths remain under investigation by police and the medical examiner.
In the MUP press release, it further states that the shooter is a 15-year-old Natalie Rupnow died of “gunshot trauma” … which matches what the police have already said.
According to Rubio’s obituary at Gunderson East Funeral and Cremationwebsite, it was her first year at school.
Her obituary said she was “an avid reader, loved art, singing and playing keyboards in the family worship band. She shared a special bond with her beloved pets” … her cat, Gingerand her dog, Coco.
